ACADEMICS some children advance 2-3 grade levels in reading in a just a few months all of a sudden reading a lengthy book (200-300 pp) independently carrying books around for reading pleasure reading signs while in the car reading a menu at a restaurant new interest in reading, writing and/or drawing improved reading comprehension improved writing skills correct verb tense usage significant reduction or cessation of letter/word reversals improved spelling significantly higher math scores on standardized tests completing homework in a timely manner better attention/focusing/staying on task
